Dominant Terpenes

TERPINOLENE

Terpinolene  is known as the least common terpene in cannabis. It carries an array of smells you might find in cannabis: It’s piney, floral, herbaceous, and even a little citrusy. This impressive terpene is known for its herbal aroma as well as its natural healing properties.

BETA-OCIMENE

Ocimene is a monoterpene and can be found in a wide variety of plants. Hops, kumquats, mangoes, basil, bergamot, lavender, orchids, pepper, and a host of other plants contain ocimene in some quantity. Ocimene is responsible for sweet and herbaceous flavours and it can also add citrusy and woody undertones.

BETA-MYRCENE

Myrcene is a monoterpene with an earthy aroma found in mango, lemongrass, thyme, and hops

BETA-CARYOPHYLLENE

Caryophyllene is a bicyclic sesquiterpene with a peppery aroma found in black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon.

ALPHA-CEDRENE

Cedrene is a sesquiterpene found naturally in essential oils derived from cedar, juniper, and cypress wood. This terpene is known for its fresh, sweet and forest-like aroma which adds an appealing layer to cannabis.
